With the prompting of naturopath and midwife Dr. KO, I created an exercise class format to help people tune in and feel their bodies while improving their health. KO was noticing in her counseling work that many people were having a hard time feeling and describing sensations, often even dissociated from areas of pain, keeping them stuck in their healing journey. You have to feel it to heal it! So blending my exercise science background and love for music with naturally “feelsy” artforms like qigong, yoga, and dance, Embodiment class is a somatic practice to build physical fitness, yes, but also emotional attunement, love and enjoyment, and higher awareness.
